Mr. Luongo graduated with a master’s degree from the physician assistant program at Rutgers School of Health Professions and has worked as a physician assistant for over 18 years. He has extensive experience and clinical exposure to a wide array of medical specialties, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery.
He has worked with the team at AMI Surgery for over 10 years. As a PA, Mr. Luongo plays an integral role in the care of the patients. He ensures each patient has a pleasant and comfortable experience. Within the field of surgery, Mr. Luongo has a special interest in bariatric surgery, venous disease (varicose veins, spider veins, and leg ulcers), general surgery, and wound care.
With his medical background, he is able to further enhance each patient’s surgical and weight loss experience and ultimately plays a large role in their success. Moreover, he has undergone specialized training using minimally invasive techniques to resolve varicose veins and spider veins and further treat leg ulcers and superficial wounds. His care, attention to detail, and overall compassion are welcomed assets to the team.
